Bio
Sean Hooper is an Investment Advisor Representative with Oakwood Wealth Partners. He works with pre-retirees, young professionals, business owners and their families to help them achieve financial independence. Sean and his team take a holistic, personalized approach to financial planning. Together, they work on a cross disciplinary basis, across investments, risk management, and estate planning. Our team recognizes that our clients are the most important part of our firm. We adhere to Osaic Wealth’s (formerly Lincoln Financial Advisors) philosophy – “Serve First, Last and AlwaysSM” – which was conceived over 60 years ago by legendary leader Stuart Smith and still drives our business today. The most rewarding aspect of Sean’s career is seeing the lasting impact that his team can make on their clients’ lives and seeing clients become friends through our continued relationship.
Sean started his career at Osaic Wealth as part of the Advisor Development Program. In this role, he created financial plans and retirement solutions for advisors throughout the country. Sean then joined Oakwood Wealth Partners as a Registered Paraplanner prior to transitioning to an advisor. As a paraplanner, his role was to facilitate and research investment and saving options for our clients.
Sean graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Financial Planning. He has achieved the Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor (CRPC®) designation and is studying for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) designation from the College for Financial Planning. Sean enjoys learning about the financial planning business through his teammates, industry conferences, and financial podcasts. Sean enjoys the challenge of creating various innovative, personalized, and custom solutions for our clients.
Sean is an Orange County native, who was born and raised in Newport Beach, California.
He currently lives in West Garden Grove with his beautiful wife, Christina, their daughter, Alaina, their son, Joshua, and their yellow lab, Kona Kobe. They also built themselves a backyard pond that includes two turtles, four Koi Fish, four fancy goldfish, one frog, and three bullfrog tadpoles. Sean is an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, he never misses the Steelers, Pirates, or Penguins when they come into town. He is a UCLA football season ticket holder and his hobbies include sports collectibles/sports cards, the TV show "Survivor", golfing, watches, U.S. History, and spending time with friends and family.
